Just finished the first evening of the Techie Women Have More... Conference. What an event! I have enjoyed the networking, speakers, and good camaraderie this evening. I am so looking forward to tomorrow: More networking and learning in workshops. I'm excited.
PLUS! For those who are attending my session "Build a Website in 15 Minutes" make sure to visit my Weebly Resources page to start making your site! Yes you will be leaving with a Website and yes it might look something like this. Thanks to CeWIT - Center of Excellence for Women in Technology - for this event and opportunity. Also thanks to Indiana University for supporting this endeavor. I am so looking forward to our future. #TWHM

LOL! I have to laugh at myself. I love using Weebly so when I think of creating a new Website I will use Weebly or Dreamweaver. When I created this Weebly page for my class K200, I used red and white colors to signify Indiana University where I teach. A few years went by and I decided to update the site look. So I chose another template that was red and white. I really liked it. Then my friends and I who are big IU Women's Basketball (IUWBB) fans named ourselves the Behind the Bench Bunch or Triple B for short. I decided then that we had to have a Website* so I went to Weebly. I chose a lovely red and white template. I love using that site and editing the blog and generally keeping the world in the know about IU Athletics, particularly the IUWBB. So today as I prepared for my next week of class and teaching Weebly I looked at both of my Weebly sites K200 and Triple B. Oh my. Both sites had the same template! So I changed this site's template as I really couldn't get ride of the red and white for the IUWBB. I rather like this new template. It seems so dignified. So what has this taught me? I, Margaret Lion, know what I like when it comes to templates and colors. Thus I can spot my work a mile off. While this keeps me amused with myself, I now must make sure to keep myself changing. Be well and I hope you don't get in a rut. *In my mind, if it isn't on the Web, it doesn't exist. |
